disgo - The uses

Various people's uses for a disgo.

The disgo can be used just as if it was a floppy disk or another hard disk drive. The files stored on the disgo are accessible from any computer with a USB port. The data stored on the disgo can be altered, edited, copied, printed, etc. in fact there is no difference in using the data stored on a disgo to using the data normally on a PC and it is just as fast to use - and in many cases even faster!

The disgo replaces the difficulties often found with multi-disk backups - Just "drag & drop" the data onto the disgo or instead of saving to several floppy disks save to the disgo in a fraction of the time.

The disgo is used in an enormous number of places. We have listed below just a few of the uses we have come across:

School Students:

• Homework done at home and carried to school easily and uploaded to the school system.
• Projects done at school and home can be easily synchronised.

• The fast & easy transportation of project research data to another site.
• Thesis backup and always having a copy with you just in case!
• Project work done at home can be "handed-in" to lecturers by copying to their computer.
• Very fast copying of data downloaded at one site that needs to be somewhere else.

• Price lists can be transported simply and read or copied to customers computers .. No need for bulky pricelists and keeps printing costs down.
• Pictures & Photos of products that would be in a catalogue can be copied to a customers computer.
• Powerpoint presentations are simple to carry around just in case they are needed.

• Data backups for security can easily and quickly be taken during the day.

• Keeping personnel files away from prying eyes by keeping all data on the disgo and not on the main computer.

• Keeping confidential files off the company system, but useable all the time when the disgo is plugged in for reading, writing, altering and all normal functions.

• Taking the "End of Year" accounts data away from a company for the annual audit.

• Carry a full backup of your entire device just in case the worst nightmare actually happens. Restoring to the PDA now becomes just a couple of minutes work and no data loss. Just find the nearest PC - They really are everywhere these days - and copy your files across. This is especially useful if you are on holiday or away from your PC for an extended period of time. No more worries that "It Broke" or "It fell into the sea" or even the most common reason of all - It got lost / stolen. The disgo has got your data so a full restore is always close at hand.

• Keeping a safety backup of your manuscript and taking the manuscript to the publisher.
