What is "FUGAWI UK"?
FUGAWI UK™ is new GPS software for PC and PDA, which includes the famous and detailed Ordnance Survey® Landranger® maps and elevation data.

FUGAWI UK supports all of the features of FUGAWI 3.1 but functions only with the included UK Ordnance Survey 1:50,000, 1:250,000 and 1:1,000,000 scale maps.

FUGAWI UK lets you plot routes and tracks, create and save waypoints and use a GPS in real time, on a PC, laptop, Pocket PC or Palm! The bonus Gazetteer lets you search for place names and the included elevation data lets you calculate track profiles.

Best of all, FUGAWI UK maps are seamless (no edges), within each region and are the highest quality map imagery.

Can FUGAWI UK be used for GPS moving map navigation?
Yes, FUGAWI UK contains moving map functionality for each of the PC, Pocket PC and Palm versions.

Does FUGAWI UK work with Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)?
Yes, FUGAWI UK is the only PC based UK map software that has both Pocket PC and Palm OS software included.

Can I use other non-UK Ordnance Survey maps in FUGAWI UK?
Due to licensing restrictions imposed by the Ordnance Survey, FUGAWI UK does not support other map formats.

If you would like to use maps from other countries or regions, or scan paper charts, then you will have to purchase FUGAWI 3.1, which has the features of FUGAWI UK without the restrictions. It is important to note that due to license restrictions imposed by the UK Ordnance Survey, FUGAWI 3.1 does NOT support the Ordnance Survey maps.
Customers who wish to use FUGAWI for marine navigation are advised to purchase FUGAWI Marine ENC.

What are the PC Requirements to run FUGAWI UK?
FUGAWI UK requires:
· Personal use only
· 486 processor or better
· Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP or NT4
· 16 MB RAM
· 30 MB on hard drive
· CD-ROM drive
· mouse or other pointing device
· OPTIONAL: Palm or Pocket PC organizer (Palm O/S 3.5 or greater, or Windows Pocket PC).

Note: GPS and connecting cable is not included with the software.

What are the FUGAWI UK Regions?
Each of the following regions are available. Other than containing different 1:50,000 map coverage, there is no difference between each region.

Region 1 = North, Region 2 = Mid-North, Region 3 = Mid-South, Region 4 = South

FUGAWI UK comes with the complete UK 1:50,000 Gazetteer. Search for cities, towns, rivers, farms, historic sights, and more!

What are the license restrictions that apply to FUGAWI UK maps?
Due to license restriction imposed by the Ordnance Survey, FUGAWI UK is restricted in the following ways:
· The maximum area printable is the size of the screen
· Maps cannot be exported except for use on a PDA
· No 1:50,000 scale map on the PDA can cover more than 1600 square kilometers
· Non Ordnance Survey maps cannot be loaded into FUGAWI UK
