High quality GPS receiver:
A 12-channel multi directional GPS receiver comes in the form of a sleeve that snugly fits the iPAQ Pocket PC, delivering a positioning accuracy of up to 5 meters. The built-in Compact Flash memory expansions slots also allow you to store high volume detailed map data on low cost memory cards allowing you to increase map coverage. For those into off road activities, the GPS 3300 ships with a vehicle dashboard and windshield brackets, plus an in-vehicle power cable.

SmartExplorer™ Software:
The GPS 3300 truly comes into its own with the feature heavy SmartExplorer™ navigation software. While delivering Classical navigation information like Compass Bearing within a few degree accuracy, ETA, Velocity Make Good, Cross Track Error, distance to next way point and direction arrow, this software offers further enhanced functionality when it comes to planning your journey.

Routes can be planned on your Pocket PC or desktop and then transferred to your GPS 3300, while the software also allows you to import your own maps or acquire high detailed maps from companies such as Ordnance Survey. Original topographical maps, marine charts, aerial photography and large site maps can be scanned, instantly geo referenced and then downloaded to your handheld Pocket PC. Of course the GPS3300 already includes an expansive library of geo referenced base maps at a scale of 1:1,000,000 for no less then 25 European countries, unprecedented value in this sector of the Pocket PC GPS market.

Additional features also include Trip Monitor that allows you to review position, speed, time and distance covered from just one click on the travel log, while Proximity Alarms lets you position audible alarms on exact mapping points that are activated when you enter that particular zone. This is an important feature for nautical and off road pursuits where users can be alerted to dangerous areas such as shallow waters or cliff edges as they approach. Voice tags can also be recorded as alternative alerts with personal comments attributed to certain checkpoints.
