Please remember to do frequent backups of your Psion palmtop, especially before installing any commercial software, shareware or freeware.
The fastest & easiest method is to use a Compact Flash Card (CF). These cards are also an excellent way to increase the storage capacity of your Series 5, 5mx or 7, HandEra or TRG pro. Commercial programs, shareware & freeware can all be installed on these CF cards.
Note that the Psion Revo does not take Compact Flash CF memory cards.

Backups of your Psion made to your PC can be read, altered, etc. with the 'Emulator'. More information on this is available here.

For those of you who are upgrading from a Psion Series 3mx, the data on your 3mx which is in SIBO format can be very easily transferred to your new (EPOC) Series 5 or 5mx handheld computer.
The transfer from Series 3 format to EPOC only takes a few seconds.
