SmartPad

The Seiko Instruments SmartPad™ is a zippered notepad portfolio, which captures handwritten notes on an ordinary pad of paper and instantly sends them to your Palm OS handheld via its infrared port. Using the enhanced SmartPad Palm applications, save your notes, drawings, and maps in any of the four major Palm OS applications. Using an optional modem and third party software, you can email your notes directly from your Palm.

SmartPad is the first product that lets you capture anything you write or draw, with the natural feel of pen on paper. Take notes and store them in your Datebook. Attach a map to a contact in the Address Book. Easily write down To Do’s or Memos and save them for future reference.

SmartPad Pen:

A specially designed SmartPad pen is included for use with the SmartPad.
The cap end of the SmartPad pen contains a stylus tip that you can use on your PDA. The stylus appears when you place the cap on the back of the pen. You don’t have to switch between the SmartPad pen and the handheld's stylus to work with SmartPad. This special SmartPad pen is used for writing on the Notepad. The SmartPad pen contains a special transmitter that communicates with the SmartPad. The SmartPad pen is powered by a standard AAAA battery that can be easily replaced. The battery should power the SmartPad pen for several months of regular use.

• Palm™ III series or later, or compatibles, such as the TRGpro and HandEra 330, the Palm V, Vx and the Palm m100, m125, m500 & m505. Not compatible with Palm or Palm Pro that has been upgraded to Palm III. (Palm Organizer Not Included).
